Schedule changes and a general chit chat!

Hi Everyone!


SCHEDULE CHANGES
Over the next two weeks there will some slight changes to the schedule.


Friday morning class on June 29 and July 6 will not run.  June 29 is a special Zumba Instructor training day in Melbourne, so will be attending the training day to keep up to date on all the latest happenings.  July 6 my boys will both be racing in the Inter Schools Ski Competition.  Can't wait to see them burning down the slopes!


So Friday morning Zumbreros, please come to another day time - cause everything else will be running to the regular schedule.


SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
YES - Classes will run throughout the holiday period.  So com along and bring your kids too :)


ARE YOU LETTING THE WEATHER WIN?
Have noticed that some of you are letting the cold weather get the better of you!
Remember:
- you will only be cold for one song (two if you are not working hard!)
- your fitness level will decrease if you stay at home in front of the heater.
- you burn a few more calories in the cold as your body works a little harder to warm you up!  Not enough calories to eat the entire packet of TimTams but every little bit counts. :)
So really you can't beat on of those chilly, night time workouts!


Just remember to bring a sweat shirt to put on during cool down and a jumper to wear home so that you don't cool down too quickly and get a cold.

No. 1.
No class on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  It's Anzac Day so enjoy the public holiday with your family and friends - try not to lose too much money playing two up!

An update for you!

What a year so far!  And it is flying by - nearly at the end of the first school term!
Just a quick update to let everyone know what is happening in the world according to Miss Sarah :)


Fundraiser class for Ovarian Cancer
Feb 29 was 'Teal Ribbon Day', so we took the opportunity to Zumba® for a cause!  All proceeds of our class were donated to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer.  Thank you to my friend and Zumbrero, Sharon G for making us aware of this issue and best of luck to her beautiful Mum in her fight!


Zumba fun on St Patricks Day
I was invited by Durham Green in Menangle to provide some entertainment on their St Patricks Day Open Day.  What fun I had turning regular Zumba® routines into routines with Irish flavour.  Just awesome.  And of course we wouldn't miss an opportunity to get all dressed up!

Special thank you to Paolo and Kaydee for joining me!  We were 'better than a broadway show' - or so I have been told!


Half time entertainment for the Sydney Kings
A group of instructors got together to provide half time entertainment for the Sydney Kings.  Needless to say when we all get together we are super feral and have a great time!  Thanks to Carmen for organising and to Rachael for the music mix!

Zumba classes in the school holiday period.
Classes will continue as normal over the school holidays with a few exceptions!
There will be NO CLASSES on:
April 6 - Good Friday
April 9 - Easter Monday
April 13 - Middle Friday of the school holidays (I am off to further training at a dance convention on this day)
April 25 - Anzac Day
All other classes will continue as normal.


Beto Perez is visiting Australia
This year Beto Perez the creator of the Zumba® Fitness program will be visiting Australia and hosting a master class in Sydney on April 28, 2012.  This class is open to everyone - not just instructors and you are all invited.  Purchase your tickets online at ticketmaster.


SUPER SPECIAL COMING YOUR WAY
10 class passes will be on SUPER SALE on Wednesday April 4, 2012.  $70 for 10 classes!  One day sale!  Pass valid for 3 months - come get 'em while they are hot :)


Going on a road trip......you are all invited!
On May 5, 2012 a few of us are going to Dubbo to join Zumba® with Tracy for her breast cancer fundraiser. Everyone is most welcome to join us on our adventure - it will be a great time.


Other news.......off on a tangent!
For those of you who do not know - I also teach dance and many exciting things are happening this year on the dance front too!  Congratulations to Alison who was a finalist at the recent Isobel Anderson Awards in the Advanced 1 category.  Amazing effort by Alison - and many congratulations to her ballet teacher Miss Simms.  Congratulations also to Monique for reaching the semi-finals in the Intermediate category!  Also a special mention to Bree for her Highly Commended in her Jazz Dance at a recent local competition.  First time that Bree has performed this routine and she did an outstanding job! :)

CAMDEN ZUMBA® CLASS UPDATE

With the Camden Show fast approaching, we have reached the point in the year where we have to move out of our regular venue and go and visit some other places.

MONDAY NIGHT CLASS

Each Monday night we will be visiting the Camden Civic Centre Auditorium.  The venue is large so there is no worries that you will not be able to bust a move just like you regularly do on a Monday night!

Details are as follows:

Parking: There is a small parking lot at the Civic Centre entry on Oxley St, and there is also ample street parking on Mitchell St.

Entry: Use the front steps and then entry to the Auditorium is to the left once you are inside the building.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLASS

Each Wednesday night we will be visiting Camden Public School Hall.  This venue is a little more intimate than our regular space - but given that Wednesday night in Camden is NEW this year - I think we will fit just fine.

EXCITING THINGS FOR 2012

Beto Perez, the creator of Zumba® Fitness will be visiting Sydney on April 28, 2012 and will be hosting a huge Zumba® Fitness Concert.  Tickets are on sale on Monday February 27, 2012 through Ticketmaster.  To purchase click on this LINK.

MOTHERS DAY CLASSIC 2012

As suggested by the name - the Mothers Day Classic is held each year on Mothers Day; May 13, 2012.  All proceeds from the event go towards Breast Cancer Research.  There is the option to enter a 4km or 8km run or walk.  If anyone is interested in joining me for this event please let me know so we can make a morning of it and pool our fundraising efforts!

Hi everyone

I hope you have all had a great holiday break and are ready to get back into the swing of things for 2012!

Zumba® starts back on Monday, 30 January, 2012.  That's right! MONDAY!

As many of you already know - we will have to move out of the AH&I Hall in the next few weeks as the Camden Show Society start their set up at the end of February.  I will let you know details of the move as soon as I confirm a venue.

Please make sure that you fill in a new Liability Waiver when you come to your first class for 2012 and make sure you update all your contact details so you don't miss out on any of the exciting things on offer, like discount class passes, SUPER specials and FREE classes!

On Monday night 10 class pass will available for the bargain price of $70!  So get them while they are HOT!  This price is available for MONDAY night ONLY!

Welcome to 2012

Hi everyone!

I hope that everyone is having a great holiday break.

My William at the beach in Malibu, California.

If you are a regular visitor to my facebook or any of my classes - you know that I am in the USofA having my annual family ski holiday.  So far this has involved no skiing but lots of dancing and Zumba® in LA!  Classes have been great and very refreshing - giving me a great workout and inspiring me to offer even better classes in 2012.

I am able to confirm:

Open level dance classes for 2012 will take place on Tuesday nights at Razzle Dazzle Dance Studio in Smeaton Grange.  Classes are open to all students over the age of 15 years (unless you are one of my previous students and have my approval to take the class).

Tuesdays - commencing January 31, 2012:
7pm - Hip Hop
8pm - Jazz
9:15pm - Finish.

Classes will be $15 each or you can buy 10 classes for $120.  There will also be specials from time to time so look out for the bargains when they become available.

At this stage Zumba® classes are not yet confirmed.  I will update as soon as I am able to confirm venue hire for 2012.  If you have a preference for a day time class - please let me know.  You can email me at miss.sarah27@gmail.com or inbox me on facebook.
