Just a quick update to let everyone know what is happening in the world according to Miss Sarah :)
Fundraiser class for Ovarian Cancer
Feb 29 was 'Teal Ribbon Day', so we took the opportunity to Zumba® for a cause! All proceeds of our class were donated to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer. Thank you to my friend and Zumbrero, Sharon G for making us aware of this issue and best of luck to her beautiful Mum in her fight!
Zumba fun on St Patricks Day
I was invited by Durham Green in Menangle to provide some entertainment on their St Patricks Day Open Day. What fun I had turning regular Zumba® routines into routines with Irish flavour. Just awesome. And of course we wouldn't miss an opportunity to get all dressed up!
Special thank you to Paolo and Kaydee for joining me! We were 'better than a broadway show' - or so I have been told!
Half time entertainment for the Sydney Kings
A group of instructors got together to provide half time entertainment for the Sydney Kings. Needless to say when we all get together we are super feral and have a great time! Thanks to Carmen for organising and to Rachael for the music mix!
Zumba classes in the school holiday period.
Classes will continue as normal over the school holidays with a few exceptions!
There will be NO CLASSES on:
April 6 - Good Friday
April 9 - Easter Monday
April 13 - Middle Friday of the school holidays (I am off to further training at a dance convention on this day)
April 25 - Anzac Day
All other classes will continue as normal.
Beto Perez is visiting Australia
This year Beto Perez the creator of the Zumba® Fitness program will be visiting Australia and hosting a master class in Sydney on April 28, 2012. This class is open to everyone - not just instructors and you are all invited. Purchase your tickets online at ticketmaster.

Going on a road trip......you are all invited!
On May 5, 2012 a few of us are going to Dubbo to join Zumba® with Tracy for her breast cancer fundraiser. Everyone is most welcome to join us on our adventure - it will be a great time.
Other news.......off on a tangent!
For those of you who do not know - I also teach dance and many exciting things are happening this year on the dance front too! Congratulations to Alison who was a finalist at the recent Isobel Anderson Awards in the Advanced 1 category. Amazing effort by Alison - and many congratulations to her ballet teacher Miss Simms. Congratulations also to Monique for reaching the semi-finals in the Intermediate category! Also a special mention to Bree for her Highly Commended in her Jazz Dance at a recent local competition. First time that Bree has performed this routine and she did an outstanding job! :)
Looking forward to seeing you in class soon. I hope you are enjoying your Zumba® Fitness journey this year.
