Hi there Zumbreros!

I hope this news update finds you well.  There are some exciting things underway at your local Zumba® Fitness classes and I hope you find this short info bulletin useful!

MONDAY & THURSDAY Classes are moving house!

Thats right Zumbreros - you asked for space and I am pleased to say that I have been able to deliver!  I know a number of you felt that the hall at Camden was a little squashy at times so we are moving to the AH&I Hall, Argyle Street, Camden.  This is a great venue, with loads of space for everyone to really move and with a high stage so that you can easily see all the moves that are being demonstrated.

This move is effective on May 23.  It would be awesome to see you all there on Monday night shaking those Zumba® moves with me!  There will be plenty of additional room to really Zumba® yourself into shape.

Days: Monday & Thursday

Time: 7:30pm

Location: AH&I Hall (Camden Show Society Hall), Argyle Street Camden.  Next door to the Crown Hotel!

A21 Campaign Fundraiser

This Saturday May 21, 2011 - 5pm -6pm. 

I will be running a Zumba® class to support the A21 Campaign at Picton.  Bring your friends and sweat for a cause.  Perfect chance to visit the historic George IV Pub afterwards for a nice dinner!

Beto Masterclass in Melbourne

Can you find me in this pic?!?  I am there partying with 1000 other Zumbreros with Zumba creator himself Beto Perez.  What a fantastic night!

Nathan Blake Masterclass in St Helens Park

Thanks to my friend Zumba with Tracy we were lucky enough to have Mr Nathan Blake from New York City come out to St Helens Park for a masterclass.  It was great to see some of the Zumbreros from both the Camden and Raby classes come over to St Helens Park and join in the Zumba® fun!

If you feel like getting out and about, on Friday May 27, 2011 there will be a large Zumba® party at a nightclub in Potts Point.

Don't forget each week classes are run to the following timetable.  All classes are only $10 each or you can grab a 10 class pass for just $80.  Watch out for the 10 class pass SUPER special that will be coming to a class near you really soon!

Don't let the cold wether intimidate you!  Whether you are Zumbaring to lose weight, improve your fitness, add diversity to your training regime or just for fun - real results come from consistent regular attendance.  Nothing like a Zumba® workout to put a smile on your face and warm you up over the colder months of the year!

If you have not yet come to Zumba® with me this year, it is never too late to start.  Come and check out the new routines. Of course some of your old favourites also make it into the playlist. :)

What an awesome start to 2011!

A big thank you to everyone who has been coming to classes this year.  If you haven't made it back to class yet for 2011 - it's never too late!  It would be great to see you at class before the end of the school term.  I have been really impressed at how easily everyone has handled all the new routines and how awesome the old favourites have looked.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

March 25, 2011 - NO CLASS AT RABY!

Due to the election on Saturday, March 26, 2011 classes at Raby will have to be cancelled on this night. Class will be back, as usual on Friday April 1, 2011.

April 22 - April 26, 2011 - EASTER BREAK and ANZAC DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY!

Classes will break over the Easter long weekend and also for Tuesday, April 26, 2011 which is a public holiday.  Classes will be back on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

School Holidays

Classes will continue over the school holiday period - April 9 - April 21.  So bring your kids and let them join the Zumba® party during the holiday break.

SPECIAL ZUMBA® EVENTS

March 25 - ZUMBA® White Party in Bondi

Just becauce class has to be cancelled on March 25, doesn't mean that you have to miss out on your Zumba® fix!  There is a huge white party in Bondi on this night with special guest Nathan Blake. Nathan Blake is an instructor from NYC and he travels the world living the Zumba® party!  Tickets are available from Moshtix at

April 10 - ZUMBA® Party in Melbourne

That's right - the man himself - Beto Perez - the creator of Zumba® Fitness will be hosting a massive party in Melbourne On Sunday, April 10, 2011.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Tickets are available atwww.zumbashop.com.au and are selling out fast!

All classes on the timetable are open to everyone and you can use your 10 class pass at any of the classes listed on the timetable.

Also - if you are coming to Friday morning class - BRING your toning sticks if you have them!  We are currently doing three tone routines with a one more to be added this week.  If you don't have tone sticks you can use very light (500g) hand weights - or just keep working it without the weights because you will still be getting a killer workout!

Feb 20 - ZUMBATHON® Flood Relief Fundraiser.

Thank you to everyone who can and supported this event!  We raised a little over $3000 and had a lot of laughs and did a lot of ZUMBA®!

Feb 26 - Lipton Green Ice Tea Promotion

I was invited along with 4 other instructors to give a Zumba® party for the general public alongside Cronulla Beach.  A great morning was had by all - getting fit in the fresh air!

March 6 - NBL Sydney Kings Game - Sydney Entertainment Centre

Twenty-two lucky instructors were invited to be part of the half time entertainment at the Sydney Kings Game!  So exciting and YES we showed the basketball crowd how to party ZUMBA® style and they LOVED IT!

March 27 - Aqua Zumba® Training

This coming weekend I will be training for my Aqua Zumba® Certification.  I am really excited and am looking forward to a Zumba® pool party.....woohoo!

ZUMBAWEAR®

The first order for Zumbawear® should arrive on Monday or Tuesday this week!  So exciting - I should have some singlets for sale in class as well.

QLD FLOOD RELIEF ZUMBATHON!

What a huge night!  Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this event.  We raised just under $3000, which will be donated to Response and Recovery in Riverview Qld.  They are really excited about receiving our donation and will use the money to purchase essential household items for families who lost everything in the January floods.
